Magical Platform

Just a silly, random picture from a time when I still had time to draw silly random pictures for fun. I think it was also one of the first picture I posted on tumblr.

Fairy reproduction Cycle

The fairy's reproduction cycle, explained in details with some patron's OC fairies.

At this point in time those details have been already covered in the comic, during the

part at Myri's house, but this predate the scene by probably a year, and a lot of fans were

asking me how it all works and where are the males, so I had to create this.

First designs of the species

Those were the first designs of the Fairies and Nihallaks before the comic began. Some notes:

-The fairies' reproduction has been altered, and is internal now.

-The Nihallak's reproduction is still the same, but they can simply clone themselves as well.

-The typical fairy house has been changed for more conventional housing in the open parts of the islands, but in the Giant Forest, those kind of houses are indeed typical.

-Nihallak history will be explored more in depth in the future, but as far as their physical changes go,    this is still accurate.

I've drawn them earlier in my career, with the mouse, I didn't have a pen tablet back then!

Took weeks to do using vector tools and a lot of layers.

About comments

Just a quick post to apologies if your comment got stuck in moderation limbo, I've been fiddling with a lot of options while learning to use blogger better, and must have turned the comment moderation by mistake and didn't even think of looking into my moderation tab. Anyway it's fixed now, all comments have been approved.

Which lead me to ask to those of you who have been on blogger for longer than I, should I turn anonymous commenting on? Is it a bad idea, is there a lot of bots or trolls roaming blogger? It never was much of a problem for me on tumblr, but here I don't know. It is currently set at "google+ accounts only." 

I love comments, but I'm not into heavy moderation or excessive spam control, so, what do you think?

Sketches of the Fairy Island

The first picture is the initial draft of the island, drawn before I began to work on the comic itself,while the second sketch is accurate and up to date. It is what I use as reference in the comic to know where my characters are and how long or difficult it would be for them to reach another location.

Fairies and Tentacle Propaganda!

First and almost sole promotional material I've done for my comic, safe for work so I could post it anywhere with impunity. Heavily inspired from World War 2 propaganda.

Star and tentacles

The first naughty artwork that I have done for Fairies vs Tentacles. You can see remnants of my older style before I went full comic mode, such as the heavy texturation and the way I draw fluids. This first version of Star (4 years before her in-comic appearance) remain mostly unchanged except for the antennae shape, hair length and the little star on her crotch.

Mass Upload Complete!

Here we are, the entire fairies vs tentacles archive has been uploaded, in order. And the way Blogger is structured I can easily go back and update pages with fixes or color upgrades without disrupting anything. Let me know if you see any mistake related to the order or size of the pages. (Yes, there is two page 2, that is normal, for now.)

You can expect more artwork uploads in the next few days, along with fixes and tweak on the blog itself. I've only been here for a few hours, but it's already starting to feel like home :)
